BB&T Insurance Services has added flood insurance to its comprehensive range of online products, thus becoming the first insurance broker in the US to offer and sell flood insurance online in real time.
US based underwriter said that the latest policy offering will assist home owners to protect themselves from property loss caused by flooding.
According to research report, flooding causes huge damage in the US, although most homeowners do not have flood insurance protection for their homes and personal possessions.
BB&T writes and services flood insurance coverage directly through The Hartford, a participating Write Your Own insurance company of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
